Welcome to the Psychology Practice of Dr. Robert Coleman

Have you ever had to face the hard reality that your
life, your marriage, your career, your health or your
family is in real trouble? Sadly, many people have.

What do you do when too many days of unbroken
worry and unspoken pain fills your life, and hope seems
all but gone? It’s hard to say out loud, and sometimes
even harder to share with others who may not understand.
So what do you do?

Life is tricky, and full of drama. Common names for the drama many people face is hurt, frustration, confusion, loneliness, grief, stress, just to name a few. Only this drama is not like on TV where everything is resolved in an hour and everyone is satisfied at the end. No, your trouble, your drama, persists day after day. It’s hard to figure out what’s for real and who’s for real.

Some people say that when times get tough, they almost lose their sense of self as a person. They don't know who to trust or where to turn. How about you? What do you do when you feel angry, trapped, deprived, isolated, empty, and afraid?

I bet you have tried many things to solve the problems you face. Most people do. However, many of us get stuck and keep doing what we have always done.

Some people get mad and act out. Others get sad or scared and withdraw. When this happens, our problems don't go away. Instead, they tend to get bigger and we often feel tired, overwhelmed, or lost.

When times get tough, really tough, what do you do? In today's complex world, it's not uncommon to find ourselves facing obstacles and adversity that can't be overcome on our own. And yet, some people redouble their efforts and continue to take the same type of action that has proven not to work, and wishing for a better outcome this time. There are other options. That's where we can help.

How can we help?
Don’t go it alone.
Let's see if there is something we can do together to move life in a different direction. Who knows what can become possible with a little relief, a little hope, and a little movement toward your future. We are available to help you with your journey.

We believe the process of change goes along slowly, slowly, slowly… and then seemingly happening all at once. That’s why we advocate for the “fewest number of sessions over the longest period of time.”

We provide a safety net for change, accountability, resources for the journey, and methods that are likely to result in long-term, beneficial, and values-oriented change for you, your family, and your community.

We offer individual services that help our clients heal from emotional distress, while encouraging them to take action and make positive changes in their lives.
We accept the following insurance plans:

 • Blue Cross Blue Shield
 • United
 • Cigna
 • Medicare
 • Aetna
 • Humana
We understand your drama. We know about living at life’s extremes where suffering and misery abound. Like a 100-year flood, you didn't expect this. Yet here it is. So what do you do?
